This small batch of honey infused hard cider is hopped with a blend of Pennings own 6 varieties of hops and back sweetened with local honey from Sweet Things & Wild Thyme beehives located within Pennings Orchard. Pulled straight out of the nutrient-rich black dirt, juiced beets find their colorful place in the small craft batch faultlessly infused with fresh hand-crushed ginger. A blend of dessert apples pays homage to the beet, a humble root vegetable. They gave us a delicious dry and citrusy cider, containing notes of grapefruit. Dabinettĭry, Apple, English Cider, Flint, Bitter Porters Perfectionĭry, Green Apple, Citrus Braeburn, Single VarietalĪn apple that originated in New Zealand, but has been accepted with open arms at Pennings! We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make a single varietal cider using these apples. Hints of apple and dried fruit on the back end. It is bold, astringent, and medium bodied with a deeper golden hue due to the tannins and polyphenols from the skins of the english varieties. 50% is Ida Red, Braeburn, Gold Rush, and Pink Lady all sharp varieties native to North America and grown here on our farm. Produced with 50% english bittersweet apple varieties, Brown Snout and Dabinett. Across The PondĪcross the pond is a very dry cider. ![]() It makes for a very well-rounded cider, with lots of minerality. ![]() This cider is produced from six select heirloom varieties of apples, including Rhode Island Greening, Gold Rush, and Granny Smith. used to bring their cull fruit to in the days before pick-your-own began.
